Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of restaurant or hospital waiter/waitress experience preferred
- Allergen Awareness Certification within 180 days required
- Food Handlers Card or Food Protection Manager Certification within 30 days required
- Ability to follow hospital policies and safety protocols
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to operate POS systems and Room Service software
- Effective communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- At least 1 year of restaurant or hospital waiter/waitress experience preferred
- Competence in customer service and cashiering in food retail
- Ability to follow safety and infection control guidelines
- Proficiency in handling food preparation and assembly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
Job Duties
- Follow standard service protocols as outlined in the Guest Service Training manual
- Support Food & Nutrition Service and clinical teams to provide excellent service
- Assist in food tray make-up by starting, assembling, checking, and loading patient food trays
- Deliver patient trays to bedside and nursing units within time limits using two patient identifiers
- Complete cold food preparation and specialty coffee/tea assembly
- Stock put away and rotate supplies using FIFO practices
- Use Room Service software for patient food orders and phone communications
- Operate POS cash register with accurate money handling and customer service
- Aid other workers during heavy workloads
- Assist in maintaining food cost accuracy through precise order and delivery records
