Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in food handling and preparation or cooking
  • Knowledge of industrial kitchen equipment and cooking methods
  • Ability to maintain safety and hygiene standards
  • Understanding of nutrition and dietary needs
  • Experience in volume food preparation and portion control
  • Capacity to manage inventory control
  • Must complete background check and livescan clearance

Job Qualifications

  • Food handling and preparation certification or equivalent cooking experience
  • Knowledge of industrial kitchen tools and cooking techniques
  • Understanding of safety and hygiene standards
  • Familiarity with nutrition and special dietary requirements

  • Experience with inventory control systems

Job Duties

  • Execute food preparation and meal service with consistency and quality
  • Manage food storage, refrigeration, and inventory control
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation according to health codes
  • Ensure all meals meet dietary and special request requirements
  • Supervise kitchen volunteers and teach cooking life skills to clients
  • Monitor equipment servicing and report maintenance needs
  • Promote team spirit and collaborate with Food Services department
