Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior experience with large quantity food preparation preferred
  • Prior experience working with learners in a school environment preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondences in English
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and reactively
  • Exercise confidentiality, discretion, and good judgement
  • Adhere to assigned work schedule by maintaining regular and punctual attendance

Job Duties

  • Assist in preparation and service of meals to learners and staff
  • Maintain accurate records of daily food preparation
  • Perform cleaning tasks including dishwashing, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • Clean work areas using proper sanitation procedures
  • Perform cashiering duties including use of computer
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
  • Focus on product quality, portion control, and minimization of waste
