  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and be trained on food service procedures

Job Duties

  • Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables
  • Weigh and measure designated ingredients
  • Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards
  • Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment
  • Store foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures
  • Clean work areas, equipment and utensils
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements
  • Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following steps of service
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner
  • Relay relevant information to supervisor
  • Perform sales transactions
  • Enter sales into cash register to ensure accurate recording
  • Make change, accept declining balance cards and other forms of payment
  • Issue receipts to customers
  • Follow procedures for issuing cash refunds
  • Responsible for assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring compliance with overage/shortage standards
  • Replenish condiments, beverages and supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness
  • Perform other duties as assigned
