Job Requirements
- Prior experience working at Subway preferred
- Must be able to work full-time or part-time schedules including rotating weekends
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to food service such as lifting and carrying
- Must comply with sanitation and safety standards
- Reliable transportation to work location
- Ability to work flexible days and hours as scheduled
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in food service or cashiering roles preferred but not required
- Ability to follow instructions and work within a team environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Willingness to learn and accept training
- Dependability and reliability
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to food service
Job Duties
- Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables
- Weigh and measure designated ingredients
- Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations in accordance with safety standards
- Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment
- Store foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating and food safety procedures
- Clean work areas, equipment and utensils
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements
- Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality and portion control
- Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service
- Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly manner
- Relay relevant information to supervisor
- Perform sales transactions
- Enter sales into cash register to ensure accurate recording
- Make change and accept valid forms of payment
- Issue receipts to customers
- Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds
- Manage assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring compliance with overage/shortage standards
- Replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness
- Perform other duties as assigned
