Job Duties
- prepare and serve food in a quick and pleasant manner
- assume responsibility for seeing to it that during meal service periods the supplies of food offered are replenished regularly
- assist in the clean up of the kitchen, serving areas and cafeteria
- perform major cleaning of refrigerator and storage rooms at intervals scheduled by the site coordinator/cook
- assume responsibility for the storage and disposal of unused food
- operate kitchen equipment such as dishwasher, slicer, stove and other appliances
- perform general cleaning and sanitation duties
- perform routine duties assigned in the kitchen, including the collection of lunch monies and recording of the number of meals sold, including milk
- make daily accounting of monies received, numbers of meals served, amount of milk sold, and prepare appropriate bank deposits
