Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food service or culinary training preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Physical capability to perform duties including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and working in various temperature conditions
- Compliance with health and safety standards
- Ability to operate cash register and POS systems
- Strong communication skills
- Teamwork oriented
- Must pass background check and pre-employment physical
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions
- Flexibility with scheduling including weekend, late hours, and extended hours
- Prior dependable work record
- Ability to stand or walk up to 2 hours at one time for 6-8 hours per day
- Ability to sit for no more than 2 hours during an 8 hour day
- Ability to lift or carry up to 30 pounds frequently
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to push or pull with forces up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Skills in basic grasping, manipulation, pushing or pulling with forces up to 30 pounds
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, and lift overhead occasionally
- Knowledge and experience with New Jersey State Health Department rules and regulations
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to take direction and work in a team
- Skilled in customer service and relations
- Ability to coordinate tasks to meet production deadlines
- Flexible in handling multiple assignments and working in multiple venues
- Ability to work rapidly and efficiently during rush periods
- Knowledge of customer service standards

Job Duties
- Prepares food items for the menu in accordance with established portion sizes, quality, and taste
- Prepares items as requested by customers
- Operates cash register, POS terminal, or card and credit card reader accurately according to departmental procedures
- Adheres to the policy of clean as you go and assists in daily, weekly, periodic cleaning and maintenance duties
- Maintains storage areas using proper storage techniques including FIFO policy for all foodstuffs
- Familiar with all assigned food preparation procedures
- Responsible for wrapping, serving, and transporting various food items
- Maintains and enforces established energy conservation techniques and guidelines
- Adheres to policies and procedures of Department of Campus Dining and Princeton University
- Performs duties related to the transport of food and equipment according to established procedures
- Performs other tasks as directed by University management
