Job Requirements

  • must possess a secondary (i.e., high school) school diploma or its equivalent (GED)
  • six months of full-time experience in quantity food cooking, preparation and serving is required
  • a valid food safety certification from a nationally recognized food safety program is desirable
  • ability to work on an on-call, as needed basis
  • ability to pass a comprehensive background check including verification of social security number, employment history, and criminal records
  • ability to comply with nondiscrimination policies and maintain a safe working environment

Job Qualifications

  • must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • six months of full-time experience in quantity food cooking, preparation, and serving
  • valid food safety certification from a nationally recognized program is desirable
  • ability to follow established safety and sanitation procedures
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work on an as-needed basis at multiple school sites

Job Duties

  • prepare and serve food in accordance with established menus and food safety guidelines
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas and equipment
  • assist with the setup and breakdown of food service stations
  • adhere to health and safety regulations
  • assist in receiving and storing food deliveries
  • provide courteous and efficient service to students and staff
  • report any food safety or equipment issues to supervisors
