Job Requirements
- must possess a secondary (i.e., high school) school diploma or its equivalent (GED)
- six months of full-time experience in quantity food cooking, preparation and serving is required
- a valid food safety certification from a nationally recognized food safety program is desirable
- ability to work on an on-call, as needed basis
- ability to pass a comprehensive background check including verification of social security number, employment history, and criminal records
- ability to comply with nondiscrimination policies and maintain a safe working environment
Job Qualifications
- must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- six months of full-time experience in quantity food cooking, preparation, and serving
- valid food safety certification from a nationally recognized program is desirable
- ability to follow established safety and sanitation procedures
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work on an as-needed basis at multiple school sites
Job Duties
- prepare and serve food in accordance with established menus and food safety guidelines
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas and equipment
- assist with the setup and breakdown of food service stations
- adhere to health and safety regulations
- assist in receiving and storing food deliveries
- provide courteous and efficient service to students and staff
- report any food safety or equipment issues to supervisors
