Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in food service or kitchen operations preferred
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Basic math skills for handling cash receipts
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Physical capability for lifting bending pushing and pulling
  • Willingness to wear uniform and personal protective equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Reliable and punctual work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • Food service certificate as needed
  • Sufficient education or training to read write and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure

Job Duties

  • Prepare quality food and baked goods according to planned menu
  • Prepare daily report verifying transactions
  • Understand what is inclusive of a meal
  • Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • Serve food according to meal schedules and department policies
  • Use and care of kitchen equipment especially knives
  • Timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages
  • Add garnishments to enhance customer satisfaction and eye appeal
  • Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators freezers and cooking equipment
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation food handling and storage
  • Follow uniform policy
  • Communicate with manager daily to prepare menu accurately
  • Supervise food temperature requirements
  • Maintain clean and organized work and storage areas
  • Clean and sanitize counters steam tables and other equipment
  • Follow procedures to ensure a safe and balanced environment including sweeping moping and ware washing
  • Maintain garbage collection sites and kitchen floors in a neat and sanitary manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned
