Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior school food service or cafeteria experience is helpful but not required
  • previous cashier experience preferred
  • knowledge of safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices
  • ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 35 pounds alone, 50 pounds with assistance
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Job Duties

  • Assists in the closing of the staff cafeteria, ensuring all equipment is cleaned/turned off and coolers are restocked and locked
  • assists in after school snacks including service and ensuring proper inventory of snacks and drinks
  • assists in the preparation of catering events including but not limited to working the events, prepping food items, and gathering all equipment needed
  • ensures proper cash transactions to keep drawer balanced at end of shift
  • conducts inventory of staff cafeteria foods and reports needed items to director
  • prepare, portion, and serve food items according to OPRF menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines
  • set up, restock, and maintain staff serving stations, ensuring proper temperature control and visual appeal
