Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • must be able to read menu items in English
  • must be able to communicate in English
  • able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • physical ability to push trucks and carts with food and supplies
  • standing frequently
  • walking frequently
  • sitting occasionally
  • lifting and carrying 35lbs or more occasionally with assisted device
  • pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching occasionally
  • balancing frequently
  • gross and fine manipulation frequently
  • constant use of feeling, talking, vision, and hearing
  • onsite work
  • regular employment
  • scheduled 39 weekly hours
  • day shift work

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • ability to read menu items in English
  • effective communication skills in English
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • physical ability to push food carts and perform manual tasks
  • adherence to I C.A.R.E. standards

Job Duties

  • Attends department meetings and training classes as assigned
  • anticipates and meets customer needs, rectifying issues
  • maintains cleanliness of work areas and department equipment
  • demonstrates a positive and friendly attitude
  • adheres to all HACCP standards
  • alerts supervisor to concerns, discrepancies, or product shortages
  • supports and upholds department goals to maintain or improve operations
  • works in various tray line, cafeteria, and kitchen positions
  • assembles patient trays and delivers trays from patient rooms
  • cleans station, equipment, and floors at the end of each meal
  • operates dish machine, trash compactor, and mops floors as needed
  • prepares additional food items for patient tray line
  • regularly works on sanitation projects assigned by manager
  • assists with training new and fellow employees
