Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one year of experience in the hospitality industry
- Allergen Awareness Certification within 180 days
- Food Handlers Card or Food Protection Manager certification within 30 days
- Ability to use Room Service software and tablet computers for meal ordering
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow infection control and safety procedures
- Dependability and ability to work in a team environment

- Knowledge of therapeutic dietary guidelines

Job Duties
- Complete set-up and operation of the patient tray line assembling patient meals that meet therapeutic nutritional guidelines and accurately follow patient-specific tray ticket
- Assist with delivery of early and late trays deliver food carts to patient units return carts to kitchen and stock and clean the tray line work stations
- Follow standard service protocols as outlined in the Guest Service Training manual support the department and clinical teams in providing excellent patient service through achieving timely and accurate snack nursing unit nourishment and tube feeding production and delivery
- Ensure all patient food service needs are met in compliance with diet order and allergy restrictions demonstrate positive communication with all team members
- Follow therapeutic menus to ensure patients receive consistent safe and quality nutritional care within diet therapy guidelines and as ordered by the physician assist others to complete tasks when necessary
- Provide a safe efficient and supportive environment for patients use two patient identifiers follow all infection control safety guidelines and procedures when delivering or collecting patient trays identify and act to resolve variances or suspected noncompliance to management
- Take patient meal orders using nutrition software on tablet computers reconnect to Wi-Fi on patient units
- Engage in onboarding initiatives to support and reduce turnover demonstrate positive interaction and support to all team members to provide seamless timely and accurate meal service
- Demonstrate accountability for ensuring availability of information necessary to ensure positive patient outcomes
- Complete problem-solving cycle from problem identification to resolution to maximize opportunity and minimize problems
