Job Requirements

  • Ability to follow written instructions
  • experience with proper food safety and sanitary procedures
  • must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and the COVID 19 virus or be exempt by signing a statement certifying exemption once hired
  • willingness to work day/evening shift including weekend and holiday rotations
  • able to work at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, MA
  • capable of physical work including standing for extended periods
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide support for the retail areas of the Food & Nutrition Department including set up all stations and perform positions
  • break down stations completely ensuring they are cleaned and sanitized
  • clean and sanitize equipment and food surfaces according to procedures
  • assure that all food items are accurately dated, labeled, and rotated prior to storage and or placed for sale
  • use proper utensils to ensure accurate portions
  • perform other reasonable duties as assigned
