Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in food service or related field helpful
  • Ability to work flexible hours including every other weekend
  • Must meet ADA standards
  • Ability to follow health and safety regulations
  • Good physical stamina for manual tasks
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Successful completion of site personnel general orientation
  • Successful completion of department-specific orientation
  • Knowledge of ADA standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers
  • Understanding of infection control and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • Perform routine tasks in cafeteria, kitchen, tray line, dish and pot washing areas as needed
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory or accrediting agency standards
  • Maintain established policies and procedures in food preparation
  • Stock cafeteria with appropriate foods such as hot and cold items, baked goods, beverages, desserts, and condiments
  • Set up menu boards and communicate current menu and pricing to customers
  • Operate register and assist customers efficiently
  • Follow infection control practices including hand washing and food handling
  • Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables properly
  • Perform general and directed cleaning duties
