Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in food service or related field helpful
- Ability to work flexible hours including every other weekend
- Must meet ADA standards
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations
- Good physical stamina for manual tasks
- Ability to work as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Successful completion of site personnel general orientation
- Successful completion of department-specific orientation
- Knowledge of ADA standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Understanding of infection control and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Perform routine tasks in cafeteria, kitchen, tray line, dish and pot washing areas as needed
- Ensure compliance with regulatory or accrediting agency standards
- Maintain established policies and procedures in food preparation
- Stock cafeteria with appropriate foods such as hot and cold items, baked goods, beverages, desserts, and condiments
- Set up menu boards and communicate current menu and pricing to customers
- Operate register and assist customers efficiently
- Follow infection control practices including hand washing and food handling
- Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables properly
- Perform general and directed cleaning duties
