Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred but not required
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Six months experience in food services preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of modified diets helpful

Job Duties

  • Serve patient meal trays including hot and cold entrees, salads, sandwiches, desserts and supplements
  • Take and log hot and cold food temperatures on trayline
  • Monitor and record dish machine, refrigerator and freezer temperatures
  • Load patient trays into meal carts and deliver meal carts and late trays to nursing stations
  • Perform a variety of cleaning tasks including detail cleaning and washing dishes, pots and pans
  • Stock and clean work areas
  • Work on patient trayline including set-up, service, breakdown and sanitation
  • Comply with food safety (HACCP) standards
  • Perform additional food service tasks as needed
