Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-1 years food service and/or sanitation experience
- Cash handling experience
- Ability to work full-time dayshift hours including every other weekend
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills

Job Duties
- Prepares simple food product both hot/cold and serves portioned food to patients, visitors and hospital staff
- Dates and labels all products moving through their work/production area
- Properly prepares and handles foods and equipment to ensure infection control and safety
- Maintains a clean, safe and sanitary work area at all times
- Cleans equipment, tables, food service and production areas using appropriate chemicals and cleaning procedures
- Cleans and sanitizes all service ware, pots, walls, floor, ceiling, and related food service areas utilizing power equipment
- Manages supplies and equipment to ensure effective and economical use
- Demonstrates neat and orderly stock rotation
- Learns area-specific patient/customers needs and provides friendly, competent customer service
- Accurately manages money when working registers
- Performs duties in accordance with health codes and Joint Commission regulations
- Follows HACCP guidelines
- Maintains personal hygiene according to dress code
- Reports infection control issues promptly
