Job Qualifications

- creditable job-related experience may be substituted for education on a 9 months for 9 months basis
- able to lift up to 45 pounds (occasional lifting over 50 pounds)

Job Duties
- Greet every customer with eye contact and smile in your authentic way
- acknowledge every waiting customer as soon as they arrive to the register
- listen to customer needs and ask appropriate follow-up questions
- ensure customers have an extraordinary experience while shopping
- complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers in appropriate conversation
- serve food items such as salads, meats, vegetables, pizza, grilled items, sandwiches, desserts, ice cream, and beverages at a counter or steam table
- replenish food at serving stations
- prepare simple salads, coffee, and tea
- prepare and wrap sandwiches
- wash, pare, and cut vegetables and fruits
- make and serve fountain items such as banana splits, sundaes, milkshakes, soda, etc.
- prepare pizza to order and cook in oven or microwave
- place prepared foods in a deep-fat fryer
- set up glasses, silverware, butter, condiments, salads, bread, and cold beverages
- operate microwave or conventional ovens
- serve hot dogs, popcorn, prewrapped sandwiches, and snack items at portable or stationary snack stands
- stock food supplies prior to selling periods
- ensure food and beverages are properly heated or cooled
- maintain required documentation and check inventory
- participate in establishing and achieving service and sales goals
- assist in stock counts and report slow-moving or defective merchandise
- resolve customer complaints at the lowest level
- collect money, ring sales, and make change
- maintain sanitation and cleanliness of work area
- promote benefits of Military Star credit card to customers
- perform other related duties as assigned
