Job Requirements
- Ability to work varied shifts including early mornings, mid-afternoon and evenings
- availability every other weekend

- attention to detail in food preparation and serving

- willingness to maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas
- capacity to follow food safety and portion control guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of food preparation or distribution experience preferred
- basic computer skills
- diet office work experience preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare food items for patients, cafeteria guests and catering guests according to menu
- Serve food to patients and guests with accurate portions following standard portion control
- Organize and stock supplies, condiments and utensils for meal service
- Store leftover foods by cooling, covering, labeling and dating containers
- Prep food items for next meal service including slicing meats and cheeses, preparing sandwich fillings, defrosting items, preparing vegetables, fruits and desserts
- Answer department phone, assist callers and take messages
- Verify daily menu with cook and update Menu Board and Café Menu Line, ensuring food signs for allergens are accurate
