Job Requirements

  • high school diploma
  • six months of experience in food service
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment
  • ability to operate a cash register
  • ability to follow instructions
  • physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • willingness to undergo pre-employment medical examination including substance abuse test
  • consent to background investigation

  • understanding of food service sanitation procedures
  • ability to operate various kitchen equipment
  • ability to operate a cash register

  • ability to perform physical aspects of the position including lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for extended periods
  • proven ability to work collaboratively with others

Job Duties

  • assist in preparing and serving food and beverages
  • perform routine housekeeping duties to ensure sanitation of kitchen and dining areas
  • operate kitchen equipment such as slicer, mixer, convection oven, range, steam cooker, and serving line equipment
  • operate a cash register
  • follow oral and written instructions
  • maintain records and reports as required
  • establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees, school staff, and students
