- Minimum age of 18
- Ability to supervise inmate labor and team members
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Physical ability to stand and perform tasks for extended periods

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred
Job Duties
- Supervise inmate labor and team members in kitchen during food preparation and service shifts
- Prepare and instruct on quality food preparation according to menus and recipes
- Ensure proper and sanitary storage of all food items
- Serve food during scheduled meal times following department policies
- Utilize kitchen utensils and equipment for cooking and serving food
- Follow all food safety regulations related to sanitation, handling, and storage
- Train other food service workers
- Maintain cleanliness of work environment including refrigerators, freezers, and cooking equipment
- Follow facility uniform policy
- Manage garbage collection and keep kitchen floors clean
- Ensure kitchen is clean and ready for food preparation and serving
- Review portions and utensils for service
- Promote a healthy and safe work environment
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for long periods
- Perform other related duties as assigned
