Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to obtain food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • previous experience in food service or cash handling preferred
  • ability to work independently
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • reliable transportation or ability to relocate to Chicago, IL
  • ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • must be able to obtain food safety certification
  • previous cash handling experience preferred
  • basic math and counting skills required
  • demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • must be able to work independently with limited supervision
  • requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs

Job Duties

  • Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions
  • properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • sets up workstations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables, etc.
  • breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes workstations
  • counts, organizes, and balances cash drawer
  • fills out the cashier slip and makes deposits
  • serves food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating the customers' needs
  • replenishes food items and ensures product is stocked to appropriate levels
  • maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, and co-workers
  • operates a register and handles cash and credit card transactions
  • adheres to safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • ensures security of company asset
  • other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
