Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service or customer service preferred
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs independently and heavier with assistance
- ability to follow detailed instructions
- knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines
- must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- compliance with MCCS policies and procedures

Job Duties
- Perform tasks with several steps such as setting up food service counters and side stands with hot and cold foods and beverages
- assist customers in selecting and purchasing specialty coffee beverages and whole bean sales
- provide quality beverages such as espresso drinks, Coffee of the Week, whole bean and food products consistent with established recipe and presentation standards
- use suggestive selling techniques to sell associated products
- serve food and beverages
- make coffee in large urns according to desired servings with responsibility for timing and brewing
- serve food, pastries and beverages in standard portions
- properly clean dishwasher and associated appliances
- maintain customer service area and equipment in clean and appealing manner
- perform preventative maintenance on equipment according to checklists and schedules
- follow store policies and procedures for operational flow
- adhere to standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing products
- operate cash register and manage own change fund
- complete prescribed training
- provide world class customer service emphasizing courtesy and friendliness
- acknowledge customers, smile, make eye contact and communicate positively
- ask questions to determine and solve problems
- check satisfaction on quality of goods and services
- take action to solve problems quickly and alert supervisors when needed
- adhere to safety regulations and sanitation guidelines
- use required safety equipment and observe safe work procedures
- promptly report workplace hazards, injuries, illnesses, or property damage
- support principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment
- perform other related duties as required
