Job Requirements

  • Direct deposit and social security card required upon appointment

  • must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and various hours of the day and week

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and follow simple instructions
  • ability to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines

Job Duties

  • Perform tasks according to established kitchen and dining area procedures
  • set up cafeteria lines, steam-tables, and service tables with hot and cold food items such as meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter, and beverages
  • replenish food items as necessary
  • break down and clean tables and dining areas after meals
  • return leftover food to the kitchen area
  • wash tables and counters
  • operate, break down, and clean kitchen equipment assigned to the work area
  • clean kitchen worktables, sinks, and refrigerators
  • scrape, soak, scour, and scrub heavy cooking utensils such as mixing bowls or pots
  • separate food waste and trash from dishes, glasses, and silverware
  • sweep and mop kitchen floors
  • clean exhaust vents, hoods, windows, ceilings, and walls
  • clean and sanitize trash cans
  • dispose of trash properly
  • perform other duties as assigned
