Job Requirements

Direct deposit and social security card is required
Meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks including medical examination
Meet the agency's local age requirement (18 years old)
Ability to continually stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend
Ability to work on ladders and use powered cleaning equipment
Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds unassisted
Health assessment and physical required
Complete a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training within 30 days of employment and 4 hours refresher training annually
Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
May be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for access to federally controlled facilities

Job Qualifications

Ability to understand and follow simple instructions
Ability to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines
Relevant experience in kitchen or dining area operations preferred
Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and food safety
Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Good physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks
Resume must be two pages or less and clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities

Job Duties

Perform a variety of kitchen and dining tasks following established procedures
Set up cafeteria lines, steam-tables, dining room tables, and side service stands with hot and cold food items including meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter, and beverages
Replenish food items as necessary
Break down and clean tables and areas after meals
Return dishes and food to the kitchen area
Clean exhaust vents, hoods, windows, ceilings, and walls
Sanitize trash cans and dispose of trash
Unload and store food from delivery trucks
Perform other duties as assigned
