Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- basic food handling and preparation skills
- ability to work under direct supervision
- good communication skills
- ability to handle money accurately
- physical stamina to perform cleaning and food preparation tasks
- willingness to comply with sanitation standards and inspection protocols
Job Qualifications
- An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed
- preferred qualifications may be added by the agency
Job Duties
- Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware
- cleans, peels, slices and trims foodstuffs using manual and electric appliances
- conducts or assists with food supply requisitions and sanitation and maintenance inspections
- receives payment for food items
- replenishes supplies of food, condiments, and equipment at steam tables and service bars
- stores food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
- unpacks and stores supplies, raw and prepared food products
