Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous food service experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Food Handlers Certificate required within 30 days
- basic reading, math, and written English skills

Job Duties
- Serve food on the cafeteria and patient tray lines, utilizing good customer skills
- assemble, deliver and retrieve patient trays
- document food delivery times and food tallies
- perform temperature checks on equipment and food
- perform simple food assembly such as preparing salads, portioning and garnishing foods according to instruction
- clean and sanitize equipment, wares, walls, and floors routinely
- wash and sanitize dishes, pots and pans, and cooking utensils and equipment according to department standards
- label and date foods according to HACCP standards
- follow OSHA safety guidelines for food handling
- collect and deliver floor stock utilizing FIFO
- deliver between meal nourishments and late trays according to departmental standards
- maintain assigned areas and equipment in a safe, clean, neat, and orderly manner
- dispose of trash and garbage according to standards and procedures
- follow clean as you go and proper hand hygiene
- perform other job duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
