Job Requirements

  • Paid or unpaid experience in food service work
  • graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent
  • some work experience
  • willingness to work weekends and holidays
  • ability to pass fingerprint criminal background check
  • ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
  • ability to pass registry checks including Client Abuse/Neglect Reporting System and others
  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • flexibility to work extended hours or overtime
  • males age 18-25 must be registered with Selective Service

Job Qualifications

  • Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent
  • paid or unpaid experience in food service work
  • ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • skill in operating and sanitizing food service equipment
  • ability to prepare and serve food
  • ability to maintain accurate records
  • ability to lift minimum of 25 pounds
  • ability to work in hot and cold conditions
  • ability to bend, reach, stand and walk on hard floors for extended periods
  • ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and residents

Job Duties

  • Attend work regularly and work specific or rotating shift schedules, complete required training as per policy, assist in preparation and portioning of food for special diets, prepare scheduled snacks and maintain supply of snack items, participate in food distribution in a safe and sanitary manner, assist in serving food following food service procedures, follow food handling guidelines according to state, federal and HACCP standards
