Job Requirements
- One of the following is required: paid or unpaid experience in food service work
- or graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent
- must be at least 18 years of age
- must pass fingerprint criminal background check
- must pass pre-employment drug screen
- must pass registry checks including Client Abuse/Neglect Reporting System, Nurse Aide, Medication Aide, and Employee Misconduct
- males aged 18-25 must be registered with Selective Service
- must comply with random drug testing policies
- must be willing to work weekends and holidays
- able to work extended or unusual hours as needed
- must follow agency leave policies
- must be able to lift minimum of 25 pounds
- ability to stand or walk on hard floors for extended periods
- able to work in hot and cold environments
- must pass all other state and federal employment eligibility checks
Job Qualifications
- Paid or unpaid experience in food service work
- graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent
- some work experience
- ability to follow written and oral instructions
- ability to use basic math related to food preparation
- ability to lift at least 25 pounds
- ability to stand or walk for long periods
- ability to work in hot or cold conditions

- ability to work harmoniously with coworkers and residents
Job Duties
- Attend work regularly and adhere to specific shift schedules
- complete required training in compliance with agency policies
- assist in preparing and portioning food for special diets
- prepare scheduled snacks and maintain supply
- distribute and serve food safely and hygienically according to policies
- follow federal, state and HACCP food handling procedures
- receive delivery of food and supplies from vendors
- prepare necessary paperwork accurately and timely
- follow sanitation procedures for cleaning kitchen and food prep areas
- observe safety procedures and practices
- train or assist in training new food service employees
- participate in disaster response or COOP activities as assigned
