Job Requirements

- Previous food service experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days required
- Ability to read, perform basic math, and write in English

Job Duties
- Serves food on the cafeteria and patient tray lines using good customer skills
- Assembles, delivers, and retrieves patient trays
- Documents food delivery times and food tallies, performs temperature checks, and reports variances to supervisor
- Prepares simple food assembly such as salads, portions, and garnishes according to instructions
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment, wares, walls, and floors routinely
- Washes and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and cooking equipment according to department standards
- Labels and dates foods according to HACCP standards, follows proper temperature taking procedures, understands and applies FIFO system, and adheres to OSHA safety guidelines
- Collects and delivers floor stock using FIFO, delivers between meal nourishments and late trays according to departmental standards
- Maintains assigned areas and equipment safely and cleanly, disposes of trash according to procedures, follows hand hygiene and clean as you go practices
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
