Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-3 years of work experience in food service
- valid Food Handlers Card
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- basic math skills for cash handling
- effective communication skills
- availability to work various shifts
- compliance with safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties
- Responsible for setup and assembly of meals from tray-line or kitchen
- reads production orders on color-coded menu cards and places items on trays
- apportions and places food servings on plates and trays per diet list
- examines completed trays for accuracy and places on carts or conveyors
- sets up stations with entrees, soups, salads, breads, condiments, utensils
- serves and replenishes food from counters and steam tables
- brews coffee and tea
- stocks beverage areas and grab-and-go items
- prepares dining areas before meals and cleans after service
- operates cash register, processes payments, makes change, issues receipts
- maintains security of cash and follows cash-handling policies
- assists in reconciling transactions and operates peripheral equipment
- interacts with customers assisting with food service needs
- cleans and sanitizes workstations, counters, steam tables, and equipment
- washes dishes and cleans kitchen and dining areas
- takes and inputs patient meal orders
- assists patients in ordering food
- assembles trays and serves food in cafe
- attends training on allergy, foodborne illness, safety, and compliance
- complies with company safety, environmental, and infection control guidelines
- practices confidentiality and integrity
- performs other assigned duties as needed
