Job Requirements

  • Ability to move throughout dining facilities
  • moving heavy weighted materials and equipment up to 50 lbs
  • self-movement and positioning to perform light cleaning duties in high and low areas
  • ability to reach materials on shelving units
  • potential transport and stock of assigned supplies and materials

Job Qualifications

  • Work requires ability to understand and follow instructions generally acquired through a partial high school education
  • six months of experience in food preparation or service
  • or any other equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

Job Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts
  • prepare beverages, salads, dressings, sandwiches, and cold plates
  • prepare portioned and fast foods using grill, broiler, or deep fat fryer
  • operate point-of-sale cash register and perform clerical duties
  • provide customer service
  • operate food production equipment including slicers, choppers, dicers, mixers, and patty making machines
  • transport food and supplies to serving areas and ensure proper setup
  • assemble and replenish food, supplies, and equipment
  • maintain food temperatures and displays
  • take orders, portion, and serve food
  • clear soiled dishes and refuse from tables
  • operate dish machine
  • clean assigned areas following sanitary procedures including equipment, counters, tables, chairs, refrigerators, utensils, and dispensers
  • sweep, mop, vacuum floors and empty ash trays
  • ensure supplies and equipment are available and report malfunctions
  • assist in monitoring and training employees
