Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Competency in select computer software applications
- Cashier or hostess experience preferred
- Ability to stand and walk up to 7.5 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive movements and tasks
- Ability to read menus and menu tickets
- Ability to use POS system and handle cash transactions accurately
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure and in stressful situations
- Compliance with infection control and food safety policies
- Availability for part-time varied schedule
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Hosting by taking patients meal orders for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Reviewing diet orders and food allergies
- Utilizing technology applications for placing food orders
- Cashiering including using POS system and handling cash transactions
- Verifying cash drawer and preparing cash reports
- Food preparation, stocking, and assembling meals
- Delivering and retrieving trays
- Performing sanitation and cleaning duties including pot and dish cleaning
- Providing cafeteria and catering services
- Adhering to hospital performance standards, policies, and behaviors
- Communicating with nursing departments, dieticians, and other personnel
- Following HACCP guidelines and infection control policies
- Attending staff meetings and completing annual competency and educational requirements
- Handling customer complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner
- Completing cash refunds and sales transactions according to procedures
- Observing and differentiating between standard portions
- Performing other related duties as assigned
