Job Requirements

  • high school diploma preferred but not required
  • must be able to read, write and speak English
  • six months experience in food services preferred but not required
  • knowledge of modified diets helpful

  • ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control protocols
  • ability to use knives, large food production equipment and tools
  • ability to use cash register and make change
  • knowledge of modified diets helpful

Job Duties

  • prepare and serve salads, sandwiches, desserts, supplemental and enteral feedings and snacks using tally sheets and recipes
  • log hot and cold food temperatures on trayline and refrigerator/freezer temperatures
  • deliver meal carts and late trays to nursing stations
  • perform cleaning tasks including detail cleaning, washing dishes, and pots and pans
  • stock and clean work areas
  • work on patient trayline including set-up, service, breakdown, and sanitation
  • use cash register and handle transactions
  • clean and maintain cafeteria line and dining room
  • perform additional food service tasks as needed
