Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent education
- basic food production and food service knowledge
- ability to use various food service supplies and equipment
- knowledge of maintaining a safe food environment including proper cleaning procedures
- ability to read, write and speak English
- sufficient mathematical ability for basic measurement and portioning
- ability to meet established deadlines
- ability to multitask in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions
- strong customer service skills
- ensure privacy of patient protected health information

Job Duties
- perform general kitchen duties including food preparation and storage
- clean and store dishes, utensils, and pots
- maintain general department sanitation
- follow department policies and recipes to prepare and serve snacks and meals
- assist in tray line, cafeteria, dish room, host/hostess, or catering areas
- communicate effectively with peers and supervisors
- adhere to local, state, and federal regulations for privacy and safety
