Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • willingness to learn food service operations and complete training
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and walking
  • valid Wisconsin driver’s license, reliable transportation, and state-minimum auto insurance
  • ability to pass TB test, drug screening, physical exam, and all criminal background checks
  • flexibility to work hours based on program needs
  • positive, team-oriented attitude

Job Duties

  • Assist with meal preparation and service, ensuring food meets quality and freshness standards
  • stock, arrange, and prepare food and beverages for daily service
  • set up food carts and help with serving and cleaning up after meals
  • maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly kitchen and cafeteria environment
  • ensure equipment and utensils are safe, clean, and in working order
  • complete daily safety inspections of meal delivery vehicles when needed
  • communicate and collaborate with staff, parents, and school partners
  • attend meetings and professional development activities as required
  • follow all mandated reporting duties related to child safety and welfare
  • support the team by performing additional duties as needed
