Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in food service or kitchen environment preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry moderate weight
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to comply with hygiene and safety regulations
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Job Duties
- May assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods
- Read recipes and/or product directions
- Estimate food requirements
- Operate a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, season and knead foodstuffs for cooking, serving and storing
- Taste test products when necessary
- Brew coffee and tea
- Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, other food products and utensils
- Serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables sometimes using a conveyor food-belt
- Break down stations at the end of meal periods
- Interact with customers assisting with opening containers and cutting food
- Provide general stocking duties in service area
- Keep records for supplies and equipment
- Restock other beverage areas when required
- Inspect workstations for compliance with service standards
- Clean and sanitize work stations and equipment
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils
- Wash dishes by hand or using dishwashing machine
- Polish silver and wash pots
- Clean work tables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks
- Sweep, mop and clean or vacuum floors
- Clean equipment using specific chemicals ensuring sanitary standards
- Remove trash and garbage to designated areas
- Attend allergy and foodborne illness in-service training
- Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments
- Attend designated training programs including classroom and virtual
- Work on a trayline to distribute food
- Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
- Report all accidents and injuries promptly
- Follow all department policies, procedures, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental and infection control guidelines
- Practice high integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
