Job Duties
- assist in preparation of foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods and desserts
- prepare foods including beverages, salads, dressings, sandwiches, and cold plates
- operate food production equipment including slicers, choppers, dicers, mixers, vertical cutters and patty making machines
- transport food or supplies to serving areas and ensure proper setup
- assemble and replenish food, supplies, and equipment as required
- ensure proper temperature of food and correct display
- take orders, portion, and serve food to customers
- record portions served
- remove, cover, wrap, label, store, rotate and discard food and condiments as directed
- clean assigned areas following sanitary procedures including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- clear soiled dishes and refuse from tables
- load trays and soiled dishes on conveyors, racks, and carts
- remove and dispose of trash
- set up and operate dish machine to clean dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils
- sort utensils and equipment
- inspect cleaned items for quality
- maintain sufficient stock and supplies
- unload, unpack and assist in receiving, issuing, and transporting materials
- verify received goods against invoices and notify supervisor of discrepancies
- stock supplies and equipment following procedures
- assemble supplies and deliver to units using hand truck
- report needed items for reorder
- perform related duties incidental to work described
