Job Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow instructions generally acquired through a partial high school education
- no prior experience required beyond education or training
- or any equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
- ability to move throughout dining facilities
- ability to move heavy weighted materials and equipment up to 50 lbs
- ability for self-movement and positioning to perform light cleaning duties in high and/or low areas
- ability to position self to reach materials on shelving units
- ability to transport and stock assigned supplies and materials

Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation of foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods and desserts
- prepare foods including beverages, salads, dressings, sandwiches, and cold plates
- operate food production equipment including slicers, choppers, dicers, mixers, vertical cutters, patty making machines, and other vegetable, bakery, and meat processing equipment
- transport food or supplies to serving areas
- ensure proper setup and replenish food, supplies, and equipment
- ensure proper temperature and display of food
- take orders, portion, and serve food to customers
- record portions served
- remove, cover, wrap, label, store, rotate, and discard food and condiments as directed
- clean assigned areas following sanitary procedures
- sweep, mop floors and vacuum rugs and carpets as needed
- clear soiled dishes and refuse from tables
- scrape refuse into garbage containers
- load trays and soiled dishes on conveyors, racks, and carts
- remove and dispose of trash
- set up and operate dish machines
- sort utensils and inspect cleaned items for quality
- maintain sufficient stock and supplies
- unload incoming supplies and equipment
- assist in receiving, issuing, and transporting materials
- verify quantity of received goods and report discrepancies
- stock supplies and deliver to ordering units
- perform other related duties incidental to the work described here
