Job Requirements
- Partial high school education or equivalent
- no experience required beyond education or training
- ability to lift and move heavy materials up to 50 lbs
- ability to read and follow instructions
- capability to perform cleaning duties including mopping and sweeping
- physical ability to move throughout dining facilities
- willingness to operate dish washing machinery

Job Qualifications
- Ability to understand and follow instructions generally acquired through partial high school education
- no prior experience required beyond education
- ability to perform physical tasks such as moving and lifting up to 50 lbs
- basic knowledge of food service operations preferred but not required
- strong attention to detail and ability to follow sanitary procedures
- ability to work under immediate supervision with detailed instructions
- good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation of foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods and desserts
- prepare foods to include beverages, salads, dressings, sandwiches, and cold plates
- operate food production equipment including slicers, choppers, dicers, mixers, vertical cutters, patty making machines, and other processing equipment
- transport food or supplies to serving areas
- ensure proper setup and assembly of food, supplies, and equipment
- maintain correct temperature and display of food
- serve food to customers and record portions served
- remove, cover, wrap, label, store, rotate, and discard food and condiments as directed
- clean assigned areas following sanitary procedures
- sweep, mop floors, vacuum rugs and carpets
- clear soiled dishes and refuse from tables
- load trays and soiled dishes onto conveyors, racks, and carts
- remove and dispose of trash
- set up and operate dish machine to clean dishes and utensils
- sort and inspect cleaned items
- maintain sufficient stock and supplies
- unload, unpack, receive, issue, and transport materials
- verify quantity of received goods and notify supervisor of discrepancies
- stock supplies and equipment
- assemble supplies and deliver using hand truck as needed
- report needed items for reorder
- perform other related duties incidental to work described
