Job Requirements
- Equivalent to the completion of twelfth grade
- Knowledge of safety principals applicable to food service and kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of sanitation principles applicable to food service and kitchen maintenance
- Knowledge of methods and practice of basic food service
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instruction
- Ability to work cooperatively with those contacted in the course of work
- Ability to correctly demonstrate sufficient strength mobility and range of motion to lift 30 pounds
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy

Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation of school breakfast and lunch by cooking assembling heating and packaging and serving food
- Receive store and inventory supplies according to department procedures
- Set up serving lines including condiments straws milk etc.
- Serve food and drinks at serving lines in an efficient and proper manner
- Count and record monies and meals served
- Clean and wash dishes utensils equipment work areas and tables
- Perform other related duties as requested
