Job Requirements

  • HS diploma or general education diploma (GED)
  • ability to perform basic food preparation and cleaning
  • ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • ability to use food service equipment safely
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • ability to maintain hygiene and sanitation standards
  • willingness to work varied shifts including weekends
  • ability to handle frequent interruptions and multitask

Job Qualifications

  • HS diploma or general education diploma (GED)
  • basic food production and food service knowledge
  • knowledge of maintaining a safe food environment
  • ability to read, write, and speak English
  • mathematical ability for measurement and portioning
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • strong customer service skills
  • understanding of patient privacy (PHI) regulations

Job Duties

  • Perform general kitchen duties including food preparation and storage
  • clean and store dishes, utensils, and pots
  • perform general department sanitation
  • follow department policies and recipes to prepare and serve snacks and meals
  • assist in tray line, cafeteria, dish room, host/hostess, or catering areas
  • communicate effectively with peers and supervisors
  • adhere to local, state, and federal regulations including patient privacy and safety standards
