Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous food service experience preferred
  • ability to follow established safety and sanitation procedures
  • dependable and honest work ethic
  • ability to work flexible hours including shifts
  • manual dexterity and physical stamina
  • ability to handle stressful situations calmly

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food preparation or food service preferred
  • ability to follow food safety standards and procedures
  • strong oral communication skills
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • capability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, and manual dexterity
  • adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for cooking by peeling, cutting, or slicing
  • set up tray lines and/or individual trays
  • serve meals to cafeteria customers and patients
  • clean items used in the kitchen such as dishes, pots, pans, containers, carts, and equipment
  • clean facilities including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing work areas such as floors, storage spaces, trucks and empty garbage cans
  • assist with stocking supplies and deliveries
  • report food quality or safety concerns to the Food Service Worker (Lead) or management team
