Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year of related experience and/or training preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Must be able to bend, stoop, sort and pick up repetitively
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs intermittently
- Flexible to work rotating shifts including weekends
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Commitment to safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and follow instructions
- Basic math skills
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- One year of related experience and/or training in a hospital or commercial kitchen preferred
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods
- Must be able to bend and stoop repetitively
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs on an intermittent basis
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Job Duties
- Maintains knowledge to perform the duties of the job

- Performs all tasks as outlined in the service excellence standards

- Identifies and assists in resolution of problems related to safety, sanitation and maintenance
- Maintains confidentiality consistent with hospital policy and regulatory requirements
- Promotes a positive work environment by demonstrating teamwork
- Delivers meals, supplies, and equipment to other hospital departments
- Prepares the dish room for washing service ware
- Prepares noon and evening beverage production
- Assembles all items needed to run breakfast and lunch tray line
- Serves patient breakfast and lunch meals
- Cleans tray line work station after meals served
- Retrieves patient meal carts, disassembles, washes dishes, and restocks
- Prepares patient nourishment carts
- Assists position #3 by cutting and packaging desserts
- Completes shift end cleaning assignments, checks out with supervisor
