Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One year of related experience and/or training preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, sort and pick up repetitively
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs intermittently
  • Flexible to work rotating shifts including weekends
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Commitment to safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write and follow instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • One year of related experience and/or training in a hospital or commercial kitchen preferred
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods
  • Must be able to bend and stoop repetitively
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs on an intermittent basis
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Job Duties

  • Delivers meals, supplies, and equipment to other hospital departments
  • Prepares the dish room for washing service ware
  • Prepares noon and evening beverage production
  • Assembles all items needed to run breakfast and lunch tray line
  • Serves patient breakfast and lunch meals
  • Cleans tray line work station after meals served
  • Retrieves patient meal carts, disassembles, washes dishes, and restocks
  • Prepares patient nourishment carts
  • Assists position #3 by cutting and packaging desserts
  • Completes shift end cleaning assignments, checks out with supervisor
