Job Requirements

  • Some high school education
  • On-the-job training
  • Able to follow verbal instructions
  • Able to read written directions for chemicals used
  • Physical stamina for continuous standing and frequent walking
  • Ability to lift between 1 and 50 pounds frequently
  • Occasionally able to lift over 50 pounds
  • Willingness to wear provided uniforms and hairnets
  • Availability for evening shift work
  • Ability to attend scheduled in-services

Job Qualifications

  • Physical stamina to continuously stand, walk, bend, crouch, push/pull and carry loads
  • Ability to lift 1-50 pounds frequently and occasionally over 50 pounds

  • Ability to work under supervision
  • Attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • Assist in the general sanitation of the kitchen, which encompasses all aspects of proper sanitation procedures
  • Set up dishmachine for meal service and wash dishes, sort silverware and clean glasses
  • Maintain proper cleanliness of all pots and pans using proper chemicals and procedures
  • Clean all kitchen equipment as requested by supervisor
  • Organize and clean storerooms and coolers
  • Remove all garbage from kitchen and put in dumpster as well as recycle products
  • Assist manager and cooks in any special cleaning project as directed
  • Follow dress code for department wearing provided uniforms that are clean and neat
  • Wear hairnets as required
  • Receive all deliveries and properly rotate stack and organize storeroom and coolers
  • Attend all scheduled in-services
