Job Requirements
- Some high school education
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Physical stamina for continuous standing and frequent walking
- Ability to lift and carry weights between 1 and over 50 pounds
- Willingness to adhere to dress code and hygiene standards
- Availability to work evening shifts
- Ability to attend scheduled training and in-services
Job Qualifications
- Some high school education
- On-the-job training experience
- Able to follow verbal instructions
- Able to read written directions for chemical use
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, crouch, push, pull and carry
- Ability to lift between 1-50 pounds frequently and over 50 pounds occasionally
- Commitment to person-centered care principles including dignity and respect
Job Duties
- Assist in the general sanitation of the kitchen
- Set up dishmachine for meal service and wash dishes
- Sort silverware and clean glasses
- Maintain cleanliness of pots and pans using proper chemicals and procedures
- Clean all kitchen equipment as requested
- Organize and clean storerooms and coolers
- Remove all garbage from kitchen and dispose in dumpster
- Assist manager and cooks in special cleaning projects
- Follow dress code wearing uniforms and hairnets
- Receive deliveries and properly rotate and organize storerooms and coolers
- Attend all scheduled in-services
