Job Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations
- Available to work approximately 5 hours per day from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM following the school calendar
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable handling cash transactions
- Ability to use technology such as computers and point-of-sale registers
- Must adhere to safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience working in food service or a related field preferred
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Basic math skills and cash handling experience
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency with basic computer skills including email and point-of-sale systems
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and schedules
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve nutritious and attractive meals
- Set up, maintain, and clean up for lunch service on a daily basis
- Place food and product orders based on menu and customer demand
- Maintain and apply all safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards and practices in all food service areas as required by federal, state, local and district regulations and policies
- Operate production equipment and dishwashing equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations
- Cash handling
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Understand and determine qualified meals and qualified components of meals
- Meet and service the needs of clientele in a timely fashion and in a pleasant and appropriate manner
- Compile and maintain appropriate records and forms for service and storage of food and product
- Great attendance, arriving to work on time and in proper uniform
