Job Requirements
- Must pass a background check from the jail
- must have weekend availability usually every other weekend
- must be flexible with schedule when needed
- must have great attendance and be on time
- must be able to take a lot of steps in a day and stay busy
- must understand the importance of food safety and cleanliness
- must be able to do what it takes during tough times
Job Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- ability to follow instructions and work independently
- good physical stamina
- punctual and reliable
- positive attitude and team player
- basic math and reading skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve up to 75 easy to make quality meals
- maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
- follow all jail food service protocols
- stay active and take many steps throughout the workday
- work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- keep a positive attitude and contribute to a fun, relaxed work environment
- adhere to attendance and punctuality expectations
