Job Requirements
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade
- six months of paid or unpaid experience in food preparation and kitchen maintenance
- ability to follow written and verbal directions
- ability to read and write English
- perform assigned tasks without close supervision
- possess valid California drivers license

Job Duties
- Assists in the kitchen by helping prepare fruits, vegetables, sandwiches and other foods
- sets up and serves hot food, sandwiches, beverages and other foodstuffs at serving times
- assists in cleaning and storing cafeteria utensils, equipment and food supplies
- washes trays, pots and pans and cleans and sweeps kitchen areas
- performs routine cooking duties under supervision of manager
- may be required to make change and keep appropriate financial records
- work in close proximity to children of all age groups
