Job Duties
- Follows job outline of assigned position
- answers phones and takes diet changes and requests for late trays
- sets up trays with utensils, condiments and diet cards
- sets out food requested by cook
- assists with food storage of arriving and leftover items
- operates all kitchen equipment following prescribed procedures
- takes temperatures and ensures all logs are filled out daily
- uses correct ergonomics with all dietary equipment
- assists with food preparation as directed
- serves correct portion sizes according to menu
- performs daily cleaning assignments according to cleaning chart
- monitors food in danger zone (not over 4 hours)
- uses sanitary food practices
- assists other workers as needed
- serves on tray line
- trains new employees
- checks in deliveries
- performs other duties assigned by supervising staff
- attends in-service training programs and departmental meetings
- complies with departmental standards for dress, personal hygiene and safety policies
