The role being offered at Baptist Health involves preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals with adherence to quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards. In addition to meal preparation, the position includes the delivery of stock supplies to patient floor kitchens, serving guests while maintaining positive customer relations, replenishing used foods and supplies appropriately, and completing sanitation duties. The role also involves performing dish room duties daily, collecting payments for guest trays, handling cafeteria food sale transactions as a cashier, and setting up and serving meals for corporate retail, catering, Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets. The position requires decorating buffet and reception tables as assigned.
This position supports and upholds high-quality food preparation and service standards, either by performing duties independently or assisting coworkers. Cross-training in food service responsibilities and the ability to support the training of others are essential aspects of the job. The role is multifaceted, with a direct connection to patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction. The estimated pay range for this position is $16.00 to $19.49 per hour, depending on experience.

Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in food and nutrition preferred
- Food safety certification required within 90 days of job entry
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Prepare, assemble, and deliver patient meals in accordance with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards
- Deliver stock supplies to the patient floor kitchens

- Complete sanitation duties
- Perform dish room duties as assigned, daily
